Historic Seaside Resort to Re-open

The Algonquin Resort The Algonquin Resort

The Algonquin Resort, an iconic New Brunswick hotel since 1889, will be opening as Canada’s first property in the Marriott Autograph Collection in March 2014. Ranked as one of the best resorts in the world by Condé Nast Traveler in 2012, the Algonquin is under new ownership, and has been undergoing extensive refurbishments that will add modern amenities while retaining the old-world elegance that has welcomed world leaders, royalty and vacationers since its days as a majestic railway hotel.

Overlooking Passamaquoddy Bay, the Algonquin is in the culturally-rich town of St. Andrews-by-the-Sea, near the Bay of Fundy, which is renowned for the highest tides in the world. This gorgeous setting is also the backdrop for the Algonquin Golf Course, home to two of the top ten golf tees in Canada.
