A travelling cartoonist notes
Many blogs have been written about travel, but perhaps only a minority see travel through the eyes of a cartoonist. As a globetrotting cartoonist, I have found the ability to draw a quick cartoon - which can be learned like any other skill - has opened many doors to me around the world.
Lake District camping trip
Well, on Thursday, I’ll be disappearing for a few days, on a camping trip to the beautiful Lake District National Park – I had organised the camp site until I realised that the site was no where near where I thought it was, so I’ve written down the addresses of four campsites, and I’ll see which one is the best one once we get there.

Historic Seaside Resort to Re-open
The Algonquin Resort, an iconic New Brunswick hotel since 1889, will be opening as Canada’s first property in the Marriott Autograph Collection in March 2014. Ranked as one of the best resorts in the world by Condé Nast Traveler in 2012, the Algonquin is under new ownership, and has been undergoing extensive refurbishments that will add modern amenities while retaining the old-world elegance that has welcomed world leaders, royalty and vacationers since its days as a majestic railway hotel.
