It's time for cooking with IKEA

Food is an important part of our lives. Apart from eating, we also love preparing meals. To do this we need adequate and comfortable conditions. That is why it’s a good idea to decorate the kitchen in a way that will make it easy to work in. How can this be done?

Cooking has changed over time. We don’t use the same equipment as our grandmothers and great-grandmothers anymore. Instead of old mortars and whisks, today we have blenders and food processors that significantly facilitate our work. But how will future kitchens look like?

Students from the Lund University and Eindhoven University of Technology have developed a kitchen design for 2025. All kinds of technical conveniences, in the form of refrigerated containers or even more ergonomic solutions will make a lot of people that cook happy. You can admire the whole exhibition at the Milan for the World Expo.

#IKEATemporary is a unique campaign, whose purpose is to show us how much cooking may change in the future. It's not just another opportunity to show the company’s furniture, but it’s also a meeting with exceptional chefs, who agreed to try out new technological solutions.
