IKEA's Experiment

A huge IKEA hall. All around you are various other buyers, choosing the perfect furniture for the living room, curtains for the dining room or an appropriate kitchen table. Such is the setting in which one of the largest and probably the most interesting experiments in the field of hypnosis in history is being performed.

Justin Tranz, a hypnotist well known for his television programs, once again shows us how much hypnosis can do. We have already seen how it is possible to leap into a future world, enacted in the minds of a few daring people. Today we can admire the amazing power of suggestion, which Tranz uses during his sessions of hypnosis.
This is the experiment Jeff and Beth succumbed to - a young couple who aren't even thinking yet about a long-term relationship, let alone starting a family. The two voluntarily surrender to Tranz, who in the bedroom department of the IKEA store introduces them into a trance. In his first trick, he "moves" them four years forward, urging Jeff to a marriage proposal. Later, in the section with the rooms for children, with the help of a young actor, Jeff can see what his life will be like in ten years time, when he already has a son.
Sounds incredible? Indeed. Because it is. In the great hall where thousands of customers stroll by, we have the opportunity to watch an amazing experiment, proving to us just how much depends on suggestion.
