It’s time to get to the first camping experience of your life!

BIG RED

Located in less than an hour’s drive from Dubai is this enormous terracotta-coloured dune that feels as if you’re a million miles away from the far-reaching confines of the cities. You will need to consider your camping spot carefully as this place is popular off-roading and quad biking terrain. Expert advice states that good pitching spots are areas near the few farms dotted along the road as you pass Big Red. The area has a desert terrain and is best for dune bashing adventures and experiencing stunning sunsets.

WADI MADBAH

Touted as being one of the loveliest routes for novice campers and off-roaders camping in Wadi Madbah is a relatively easy drive with loads of camping spots to choose from. If you are too tired of the scorching desert sun and want oases nearby, you can choose from an array of pools to dive into and cool off. The Wadi Madbah is located at a distance of 2.5 hours from Dubai. It is the perfect location for people who like splashing around in one of the secluded pools and water falls located in deserts.

JEBEL YIBIR

If you are a mountain climber in pursuit of a rock climbing experience in Dubai, then Jebel Yibir is just the rock for you. Featuring everything for die hard camping enthusiasts, this tourist attraction is also a refuge from the hotter climates as it is located high up in the mountains. Jebel Yibir is the highest peak of the UAE and there are some really lovely camping spots around the height of 400 metres along this giant piece of rock measuring 1,350 metres. It can be reached from Dubai in mere 1.5 hours and is perhaps the best spot for camping in the emirates.
